100% Windpower
All of the electricity used in their manufacturing is offset by clean, renewable windpower. In 2007, Mohawk received the EPA's "Green Power Partner of the Year" award.
Recycled & FSC Fiber
According to environmental groups like EDF, the most important thing you can do in print production is to print on high postconsumer waste paper. If you must use virgin fiber, you should choose papers that are harvested in a sustainable manner.
Carbon Neutral
In March 2007, Mohawk joined the U.S. EPA Climate Leaders program by agreeing to voluntary emissions reductions. Today, Beckett Cambric, Beckett Expression, Beckett Concept, Beckett Enhance, Beckett Ridge, Strathmore Writing and Strathmore Script papers are all made carbon neutral.
