We Print Green

Pixxlz utilizes state-of-art environmentally safe products in every stage of our no-waste printing process. We use chemical-free toner, soy & water based inks and recycled papers which all contribute to our ability to print green.

Our Commitment

By adhering to the following steps, Pixxlz promises to do what's best for our customers and for our planet.

Step One - Conserve Natural Resources

Until now, among the more costly elements to printing, both in dollars and to the environment, was the paper wasted in production. Pixxlz has adopted a no-waste process. Our press significantly reduces paper waste; our process, combined with the efficiencies of waterless printing, saves trees and solid waste to landfills and reduces paper consumption.

We use 100% digital short-run presses, which emit 90% less Volatile Organic Compounds: the villains that stink-up the air and do a number on the ozone. Pixxlz uses an offset press with two recyclable plates created from a recycled bi-product with no silver recovery. Simply put; our plates are the most eco friendly, state-of-the-art plates available, anywhere. For four color work over 500 pieces, we use a technology that literally make the plates inside the press, alleviating harmful waste. Instead of discarding the plates or submerging them into harsh chemicals, we use soap and water to clean and recycle them. Again, there is NO chemical waste.

In the old days, back in the twentieth century, printers used paper proofs for clients to approve before their job goes to press. These numerous proofs waste paper, ink, energy and time. Pixxlz immediate digital PDF proofs, which, once approved will go directly to press.

Step Two - Offer "Edible" Ink

Our digital press uses a chemical-free toner, emitting zero VOC's. Our larger run, digital offset press uses 100% soy and water-based ink. Not only is the lack of oil better for the environment, soy inked-paper is easier to recycle. The ink has two other great benefits: its colors are brighter than oil-based ink and it is often less expensive, letting you contribute to the Earth's survival while saving money.

Step Three - Use Recycled Paper

After much research, Pixxlz has found what we believe to be the best recycled papers. They are available in many stocks and finishes and are compatible with both our digital and offset presses. Our recycled, carbon neutral paper is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified http://www.fsc.org/en/ and is supplied by the county's most trusted recycled paper manufactures who often power their plants with renewable wind and water energy.
